The Introduction of Tajik Nationality

"Tajik" is for the nation claiming, which means "crown".And its source can be traced back to ancient people who speak eastern Iranian in the eastern part of the Pamirs and those people together with Tajiks moved to Taxkorgan from west part of Pamirs now constituting Tajik nationality. Tajiks have typical characteristics of European race, the white race. Tajik belongs to Pamir-language,Iranian , the Indo-European family . Many Tajiks know Kirgiz and Uyghur languages, and generally use Uygur.Tajiks belive Ismaili of Muslims.Mosques are few and followers are not fasting, do not pilgrimage.
Tajik clothes feature, men's are mostly green, white, blue,and men often wear a symmetry loop without collar outside shirt and a long, wide,colourful belts around waist,a knife pegged to the right of the waist.when it is very cold, smooth sheepskin jackets and chaparajos will be added. Adults generally wear caps with black floss cover,round suede inside,and also design chiff on.Women favour bright colors,often wear red dresses with design,are fond of wearing roundtop embroidered cotton hats and their back have a curtain with a suffix, and when they go out, large square scarfs on the hats. When in dressed costumes, a range of silver chains will be added,people wear earrings, several rows of beaded necklaces around neck,red beaded and round silver ornaments on the chest.Men and women all wear felt and long or wool socks,a red and long,tine and wild sheepskin made soft leather boots.
TajikFood:Tajik herdsmen mainly live on milk, meat, pasta ,and peasants mainly on pasta, fewer vegetables.Main foods include,food eaten by hand, mutton with broth, milk pasta,milk rice, oiled Nang and etc.They enjoy ghee, acidophilus milk, milk lumps, creme, and other dairy milk products, love  drinking milk tea.
Tajik housing generally is square flattened house of soilwood structure, with walls made of stones, grass and soil , and it is very solide and its door opening east. In the middle of roof, it opens window  for ventilation and light.Housing generally has no separate rooms, indoors it is built a Tukang around,on which it is placed with blankets or sheepskin for sitting. Tajiks place great emphasis on courtesy for guests who met with in the past or not will be enthusiastically welcomed and they take their best diet for hospitality.When acquaintances or even strangers  meet each other, they will say greetings.When men meet,they will warmly shake hands, the closer will kiss each other’s back of the hand, the most intimate, hug one other. When women meet, the elder will kiss the yong’s eyes and touch their heads, and the young kiss the elder’s back of hand.When people of the same generation meet, they will kiss cheek each other, and the intimate people will kiss lips.When men and women meet, the elder will kiss the young’s palms, young men and women will shake hands with each other, and for relatives,often a young woman will kiss a man’s cheek.When people collectively encounter,they will put their two thumbs together,saying "Gengailimaiguzuo" which means helping each other.When people salute, men will touch chest by the right hand and bow,women will stroke chest by two hands and bow. Tajiks are forbidden eating pigs, dogs, donkeys, horses, mules, bears, wolves, foxes, rabbit,fish  and died animals without slaughtering. The left tea and untaken foods are forbidden throwing on the ground.Kicking sheep and treading salt and other foods are forbidden.Getting through sheep range and getting closer to sheep range or its pens by horse riding are forbidden.Talking off hats when talking is forbidden. Selling livestock and repaying debt on Wednesday and Thursday are forbidden.Tajiks very much condemn those people who do not respect the elder, do not support the young , as well as the disloyal. Tajik nationality practises large court ancestry system, the children of several  generations do not live separately , and generally 3 or 4 generations live together.For marriage, it carries out a system of monogamy, basically  getting married within the nationality itself.There are many marriage between relatives and it is quite popular between cousins.In the past, early marriage is prevalent with the features of commerce,but now this situation is greatly changed.Divorce is fewer.In Tajik home, infant born is a big happy matter. Once male baby is born, his father will fire three shots or shout three times, and the female baby is born,his father will put  a broom under his head.When Tajik children are 1 year old, they should have "Cutting hair ceremony," and 7 years old,they will have "circumcision." Tajik wedding is very grand and interesting. Wedding is often held in plateau, on summer day with breeze and sunshine, lush water and plants.Wedding ceremony contains the process of welcoming bride, getting into the door,celebrating bridal chamber,and uncovering, during which horse racing,holding sheep in mouth,dancing, singing and other entertainments will be held. When Tajiks died outside regardless of the distance,they must be taken back to his hometown to be buried on the earth.
