10 Days Silk Road Muslim Tour from Xi'an to Urumqi

Day 2

Xi'an

Today you will pay a visit to the amazing Terracotta Warriors and Horses - where7000 individually crafted clay soldiers stand on guard. This is one of the greatest archaeological findings of the 20th century - the army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin Shi Huang's tomb from two thousand years ago. It is a sight not to be missed by any visitor to China. Next, we will travel to the Bid Wild Goose Pagoda built to house Buddhist scriptures collected by a Chinese Monk,where you can see variety of Buddha statues. After the visit, bus transfer to Bell Tower which is the emblem of Xian city. It was used to keep time for the town and to sound alarms. Finally, You will have chances to taste many delicious local snacks and Muslim specialties, and also experience the local Muslim life and culture atmosphere at Muslim Street near Bell and Drum Tower square.

Day 3

Xi'ananzhou

This morning you will start your journey from the Shaanxi Provincial Museum, This provincial museum is one of the major museums in China, and it holds numerous unearthed cultural artifacts from within the Shaanxi province as well as the rest of China. then take a tour at The Ancient City Wall, This is an extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure boasting the most complete city wall that has survived through the long Chinese history. The City Wall has corner towers, ramparts, sentry towers, gate towers, battlements and a number of city defensive fortifications with very strong defense capability. here you can spend a few hours walk around the city wall or experience the cycling if you are interested.
In the afternoon,drive you to the train station go to Lanzhou by bullet train, then go tho hotel have good rest after dinner.

Day 4

LanzhouZhangye

Your Lanzhou sightseeing will begin with Xiguan Mosque this morning. Xiguan Mosque was built by the Muslim merchants, and it is the one of top ten outstanding buildings in Lanzhou. The next scheduled destination will be Waterwheel Park, an ancient irrigation tool. then proceed to visit Yellow River Mother statues, explore the ancient history and culture of Gansu Province. and travel to First Bridge of Yellow River, it is the first highway bridge in the ancient Yellow River, also the second city steel bridge in China. After lunch,take bullet train from Lanzhou to Zhangye, upon arrival, our guide will escort you to check in your hotel.

Day 5

ZhangyeJiayuguan        (223kms, 3hrs driving)

Hotel breakfast and then your guide will meet you at Hotel transfer to visit Zhangye Danxi National Geological Park, Danxia National Geological Park which is the most typical arid area of northern China. Ribbons of reds, oranges and yellows slice through the rock, to create a rainbow vista contained only by the contours of the jagged mountain peaks. so many people also call it "Rainbow Mountain".After lunch,on the way visit Jiuquan Mosque, explore the Muslim culture and custom in Gansu area.
Thereafter, we will transfer to the next stop Jiayuguan with about  3 hours driving. overnight in Jiayuguan

Day 6

JiayuguanDunhuang

Hotel breakfast and then your guide will meet you at Hotel transfer to visit the first pass at the west end of the Great Wall of China Jiayuguan, After lunch,transfer to Dunhuang,visit Dunhuang Mosque,Overnight in Dunhuang

Day 7

DunhuangTurpan

Hotel breakfast and then your guide will meet you at Hotel transfer to visit Echoing-Sand Mountain and Crescent Moon Lake, for many Chinese well known as Mingsha Mountain, is celebrated for the sound of the moving sand. and the Crescent Moon Lake is literally an oasis in the desert. The lake’s name derives from the crescent moon shape taken by the pool of spring water between two large sand dunes. In the afternoon, then take bullet train to Turpan,overnight in Turpan

Day 8

TurpanUrumqi

Hotel breakfast and then your guide will meet you at Hotel transfer to visit historical Flamming mountain - The hottest spot on the desert,Tuyoq Village, This is a 12 km long primitive Uighur agricultural valley about 70 km from Turpan, with vineyards and fields in the northern and southern valleys and a narrow ravine that connects them. It is a Muslim religious pilgrimage site.Visit the Karez well,then take coach to Urumqi,overnight in Urumqi

Day 9

UrumqiHeavenly Lake

Hotel breakfast and then your guide will meet you at Hotel transfer to visit Heavenly Lake（Including electrical car and cruise）,Tianchi in Chinese,The lake surface of Tianchi Lake is over 1900 m above,
Then enjoy Urumqi International Grand Bazaar,a bazaar is more than just a place to buy things. It offers locals a place to enjoy the flavour of a festival, to have a rest and to meet with friends.

Urumqi
