Dear Lesley,
We had a wonderful time. Thanks a lot for organisation. We loved the food (especially yoghourt et lamb kebab !), the landscape near the Karakul lake were amazing, markets and bazars in Kashgar and Urpan were so true, so typical. In Urumqi, we appreciate the quality of the Museum (especially the momies), karez irrigation system was very smart, Jiaohe ruins full of history and well preserved. The old city of Kashgar was very original, the street with craftsmen was great and cemetary interesting. We really appreciate to be received in a house of kirgiz people. Kids loved camel and horse rides… Both guides were very kind and interesting ; we appreciate Abdul adaptability, empathy and knowledge. He speaks french very well.
Regarding the hotels, we appreciated in Turpan the only beds with a smooth couch, we loved the european breakfast in Taxkorgan and the powerful hair dryer in Urumqi. One suggestion for the hotel in Taxkorgan : if they coud heat the dinning room…
Best regards,
Isabelle
