After arriving to go stroll around the Shazhou Night Market, the most bustling place of Dunhuang at night.the most bustling place of Dunhuang at night. It is not only famous for its tasty snacks and local specialties but also for its well-regulated management. The whole night market is 1000 meters long in total. There are shops selling handworks and souvenirs, food stalls and fruit stands. When the fruit season comes, visitors can buy juicy fruits at reasonable prices. Then back to hotel have a rest.
Shazhou Night Market
Turpan (D2711 18:18-21:50)Our nice guide and driver will meet you in the hotel at 8:00 and head to visit the UNESCO Mogao Grottoes(4hrs visiting at least),which is famous for its exquisite murals and various sculptures inside the caves, which was built in different dynasties, spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art. We will enjoy the digital movies for 40mins first. It will take 20mins to the grottoes by shuttle bus. The professional guide will give you the detailed and interesting introduction on the history, painting style,Buddhism culture with the visiting to 8-10grottoes.
Lunch will be arranged in the local restaurant. Afterwords we are going to visit Echoing Sand Mountaion&Crescent Lake(4hrs visiting at least). You can experience Camel riding as the Silk Road Caravan in the next two hrs in the vast desert. Then enjoy the pleasant walking around the Crescent Lake,which has been in existence for hundreds of years without ever being buried by the sand; it is really a geological wonder.Then drive to the train station take high-speed train to Turpan.
Urumqi (200kms, 3hrs driving)After breakfast, we will visit Tuyoq Valley(2hrs visiting)which is the intersection of many famous religious and cultures in world and the oldest existing Uyghur village in Xinjiang.It is mainly composed of four parts: Canyon scenery, Thousand Buddha Cave, Mazha and ancient villages.
Then we will go visit Jiaohe Ruins(2hrs visiting)is one of the best preserved ruins of its ancient era in China.Mainly composed of three parts: a central avenue running through the north and south divides the residential area into two parts, east and west, and the north end of the boulevard is a large-scale monastery.We also will go visit Sugong Minaret(1hr visiting)after having lunch.Sugong Minaret is a novel, chic, tower-shaped Islamic building.Made of two major parts:Old tower and the mosque.In front of the right side of the Sugong Tower is a garden with a gazebo.
Then visit Karez Well(2hrs visiting),is a unique type of irrigation water extraction project in Xinjiang,mainly for farmland irrigation and residents’ water use.Visit Karez Museum first then see how it turly work for real.It has other traditional architectures as raisin drying room, Anar Khan home, China Naan Pit which are fascinating and practical for residents.(All the attractions have Professional guide with detailed and intriguing interpretation.)
Then we drive to Urumqi,which is the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Heavenly Lake (120kms, 1.5hrs driving)Morning your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. Then driving to Fukang and visit the Heavenly Lake, a picturesque Alpine lake, 2000m up in the Tianshan mountain range.There are eight beautiful scenic spots in the lake scenic area.There are boats arrive to Xiwangmu Zu Temple.And can Hiking on the boardwalk near the lake.Or take shuffle bus to the Maya Mountain attraction and experience the telpher and enjoy the scenery.Or simply just feel the fresh air,enjoy the delightful viewing and picture some photos as memento.
End the day tour and drive back to Urumqi.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport. Wish you a pleasant journey.
