Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the essential landmarks in Xi'an city; the Pagoda was initially used to store Buddhist scriptures and relics that Buddhist monk Tang Xuanzang brought back from the Silk Road and India. Just standing in the Dacien Temple complex, it will attract numerous visitors for its fame in the Buddhist religion and the appealing style of construction.
Dacien Temple was built in the Ming Dynasty based on the original "West Pagoda Courtyard," while most of the existing palaces were built in the Qing Dynasty. The main buildings on the monastery's central axis are Daxiong Palace, Fatang, Dayan Pagoda, and Xuanzang Sanzang Court. Among them, the Buddhist relics and the parietal bones of Master Xuanzang worshipped in Dayan Pagoda. Xuanzang Sanzang Court respectively is the silk treasure in Dacien Temple, inside of the tower, the wooden stairs spiral up, and you can see the distance by the railings out of a door on both sides of each floor. The whole building is grand and magnificent with streamlined and steady style, harmonious and appropriate proportion, and solemn and antique tone as the well-preserved pavilion tower. On top of the tower, you can overlook the whole ancient city Xi'an, which is entirely worth to visit.
In the east of the central axis of the monastery is the Pagoda Garden. Meanwhile, there are nine pagodas in the garden, and Buddha relics have been worshipped in the monastery since the Qing dynasty.
The Spectacular Music Fountain Show: When nights fall, the Tang Paradise treats visitors to a spectacular Lake Show, featuring lasers and other special effects, including video projection onto the water. It is a large theme park near the ancient Furong Garden site but consists almost entirely of modern construction.
