- Xinjiang Museum
Once you arrive at the airport be transferred to the hotel. if time allowed you will visit the Xinjiang Museum, which can help you have a general idea about xinjiang. in the afternoon, visit the International Bazaar and enjoy the Uyger show.
Xinjiang Museum: the museum is the main institution to collect and investigate the unearthed cultural relics and specimens in Xinjiang. There are more than 50 thousand pieces of various kinds of cultural relics stored in the museum, among them, the ancient mummies represented by ‘the Loulan Beauty', manuscripts in Chinese, Kharosthi, Qiuci, Yanji, Tibetan, Uigurian and other characters prevailed in ancient Westen Regions, the silk ,wool, cotton and hemp fabrics and folk rainment, etc., are unusual tidbits in the world.
Day 2Urumqi Burqin(700kms, 8-10hrs)
- Ghost City
After early breakfast, drive some 700km northwards to Burqin today, and then on the way, visit “Wurhe Ghost City” -
Ghost City: the most beautiful Yardan landform in this region. The movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” has left you a deep impression of the multi-colored bay where the heroine Ziyi was hidden, this special desert scene shot in the movie is located at the Gobi desert, about 220 kilometers from Fuyun county of Xinjiang.
Day 3Burqin Kanas Natural Reservation(180kms, 3hrs)
- Kanas Lake
In the morning we will do some shopping for our trekking. Then we head to Jiadengyu life area, check into the hotel, after lunch enjoy the beautiful view around the lake. Enjoy the boat cruise on the lake, where may see the monster of the lake.
Kanas Lake is the latest lake open to all tourists in China and has attained a reputation as “the tourism pearl of Mountain Altai”.? The lake takes on different colors following the four seasons of the year, sometimes it's crystal blue, sometimes it's dark green, or even gray, you may find it containing many colors setting off each another at a time, thus it has got a name as the color-changing lake.
Day 4Kanas Natural Reservation Hemu
- Hemu Village
After breakfast drive about 80kms to Hemu Village, Enjoy some free time to ride the horses and experience the difference folklore of the locals. Enjoy the sunset view there.
Hemu Village It is one of the three residences of the Tuva Mongol in China. The Tuva Mongol is believed to be the offspring of the troops of Genghis Khan when he crusaded west. The Tuva Mongol of Hemu Village lives in frame houses half-buried in the ground to resist the chillness of winter. They believe in Buddhism and have well preserved the traditional beliefs of their tribe. Religious and traditional festivals are always jolly and busy, while the landscape tempts every visitor come back to experience the wildness of nature
Day 5Hemu Urumqi Kashgar
- Five colored Bay
After breakfast do some trekking along the village and take the photo where you are interested, and back to Burqin county to have lunch, while visit the five-colored bay in the sunset which is one of the ideal place for photographers Enjoy some free time to ride the horses and experience the difference folklore of the locals. Enjoy the sunset view there.
Five-colored Bay :Another interesting spot with Yadan landform on one side of Irtysh River (the only westward flowing river of China ) yet oasis on the other side. and then you will be transferred to the Kanas airport and take the flight to Kashgar via Urumqi airport.
Day 6Kashgar Karakul Lake (200kms 3 hrs driving)
- Karakul Lake
After breakfast take the drive on the China and Pakistan highway to visit the Karakul Lake and enjoy the Pamir landscape.
Karakul Lake,At an altitude of 3,600 m. it is the highest lake of the Pamir plateau, near the junction of the Pamir, Tianshan and Kunlun Mountain ranges. Surrounded by mountains which remain snow-covered throughout the year, the three highest peaks visible from the lake are the Muztag Ata (7546m), Kongur Tagh (7,649m) and Kongur Tiube (7,530 m). The lake is popular among travellers for its beautiful scenery and the clarity of its reflection in the water, whose color ranges from a dark green to azure and light blue. There are two Kirgiz settlements along the shore of Karakul Lake, a small number of yurts about 1km east of the bus drop-off point and a village with stone houses located on the western shores.
Day 7Kashgar city sightseeing
- Sunday Bazaar
Visit Sunday Bazaar, Id Kah Mosque, Old Town, Apak Hoja Tomb, Handicraft Street
Sunday Bazaar (livestock Market)Streets near this big market are choked on Sundays with farmers and buyers arriving by donkey cart, truck, bicycle, horseback, ute, motorbike or on foot, with their animals. It's loud, lively and cheerful as they arrive, eat breakfast, set up their animals and check out the action. Cattle, sheep (they definitely look different), goats, donkeys, horses have their own sections; sellers show their animals are "good eaters"(most go as livestock not meat) and the entire experience is fascinating and fun.
Old town Kashgar is an ancient city, and in walking the streets of its Old Town, will provide a sense of what this legendary Central Asian hub was like in the days when the Silk Road was at its zenith. 500-year old remnants of the city wall, narrow lanes and colorful multi-ethnic crowds combine to make Kashgar's historic district a highlight of any visit to the city.
Day 8Kashgar Urumqi Turpan
- Karez Irrigation System
After breakfast take the flight to Urumqi and then head to Turpan, check into the hotel, and then Visit Jiaohe Ruined city, Karez Irrigation system, Sugong Minerat
The Jiaohe Ruins is located on a mesa in willow leaf shape between the Yarnaz River valleys 10 kilometers to the west of Turfan City. running from northwest to southeast, 1760 meters long and 300 meters across at the widest part. The city includes city gates, streets and lanes, government office, temples, domestic houses, cave houses, wells, and an underground temple.
Karez Irrigation System is a unique irrigation system in Turfan, which, taking advantage of the slopes, draws the underground water to flow by itself to irrigate farmland. It consists of four parts: vertical wells, underground channels, ground canals and small reservois
Day 9Turpan Dunhuang by soft sleeper train
- Astana Tombs
After breakfast visit Tuyugou Village. Astana Tombs, The Flaming Mountain and after dinner take the soft sleeper train to Dunhuang
Astana Tombs: where the ancient people are buried. It is famous for its terracotta figurines and tomb paintings
The Flaming Mountain: Many years of volcanic activity have formed the unique crisscrossing gullies and ravines. During mid-afternoon the heat becomes intense as the sun's rays are reflected off the red rocks, as though the hillsides areengulfed by tongues of fire, hence the name.
- Mogao Grottoes
Our nice guide meet you at the train station and then check into the hotel., after breakfast take the tour
Visit Mogao Grottoes, and in the afternoon visit the Echoing-Sand Mountain.
Mogao Grottoes, Constructed over a millennium, from the 4th to the 14th centuries, the caves hold the world's richest treasure house of Buddhist sutras, murals and sculptures.Cameras are not permitted.
Echoing-Sand Mountain: Crescent Moon Spring is 6km south of Dunhuang in the Singing Sands Mountains and is quite literally an oasis in the desert. The spring's name derives from the crescent moon shape taken by the small pool of spring water between two large sand dunes. Although the area is very dry, the pool doesn't dry up as one might expect
Day 11Dunhuang Jiayuguan(350kms, 4.5hrs)
- Yulin Grottoes
After breakfast drive to Jiayuguan and visit Yulin Grottoes on the way. visit The Great Wall on the Cliff arrive.
Yulin Grottoes: These caves, with their murals and sculptures, are in a valley among Qilian Mountain, about 180kms from the Mogao Caves. The name is derived from the elms in the valley, and as you travel along the valley road you can easily imagine how it must have been to be a poet or brave solder in the distant past
The Great Wall on the Cliff: This is a nearby section of the Great wall which was built on the cliff, and includes sections at a 45 degrees angle, making it seem as if the wall is hanging from a cliff.
Day 12Jiayuguan Xi'an
- The Jiayuguan Pass
Visit The Jiayuguan Pass, Weijin Tomb, and Great Walls Museum. And after lunch take the flight to Xi'an and check into the hotel upon arrival.
The Jiayuguan Pass: This Ming Dynasty fort guards the strategic Jiayuguan pass, at the western end of the Great Wall – this was the last section built by the Ming Dynasty. It was built in 1372, and subsequently enlarged and strengthened, and was known as 'the strongest pass under heaven'.
Weijin Tomb: About 15 kilometers northeast of Jiayuguan, there are over 1,400 tombs which were built during the Wei and Jin dynasties (between the 3rd and 5th century). They feature brick wall paintings showing various social activities of the times.
- Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses
Visit the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, the Bell Tower and the Wild Goose Pagoda. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty show in the evening.
The Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses: The greatest archaeological findings of the century: the army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.
- The Bell Tower: The emblem of Xian city.
The Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.
The Tang Dynasty show: The show that presents the palace dances and sings in the Tang Dynasty when Xian was the capital.
- The Ancient City Wall
Visit Shaanxi historical museum, Xian City Wall, The Grand Mosque. The Provincial Museum: and the rest of the day is for you free.

The Ancient City Wall: An extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese long history.
